Work is scheduled to begin on Las Ventanas Road this week, causing lane closures July 13-15.
Crews will close the eastbound lane, east of Rainbow Boulevard, first, then the westbound lane to install at new 16-inch water pipeline across the intersection of Rainbow and Las Ventanas.
During Phase 1 of the work, one lane of traffic will remain open in each direction on Las Ventanas Road in the westbound lanes on the north side of the road (see top section of graphic). Phase 2 will see one lane of traffic open in each direction in the eastbound lanes on the south side of the road (see bottom section of graphic).
Additionally, residents are reminded that the northbound lanes of Rainbow Boulevard, between Ventana Ranch Road and Irving Boulevard, will remain closed until mid-September for ongoing work. One lane of traffic will be open in each direction in the southbound lanes.
Other work in the neighborhood includes the closure of Ventana Ranch Road from Glacier Road to Los Prados through July 15 and the pedestrian trail along Piedras Marcadas Arroyo from Rainbow Road to Universe Boulevard.
Regular work hours are 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, although contractors may work longer hours or on weekends as necessary. All work is weather permitting and subject to change without notice.
Additional construction phases will follow in order to complete construction on the raw water transmission pipeline segment, which is expected to last through the fall.
