Dominic Martinez was sentenced to 12 years in prison last week for the Thanksgiving Day crash that killed 19-year-old Jacob and 23-year-old Kayden Montoya in 2018, who were cousins.
Martinez, now 25 years old, plead no contest to two counts of vehicular homicide and two counts of causing great bodily injury by reckless driving to the injuries to his own passengers in February.
According to reports, Martinez was driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol on Thanksgiving Day in 2018 and was driving 111 miles per hour in a 35-mile-per-hour zone near Unser and Irving Blvds. when he crashed into the cousins’ vehicle.
It was going to be the first Thanksgiving Kayden hosted at his Ventana Ranch home.
