“Renaissance” presented by local artist Denise Kunz will premiere Saturday at the Open Space Visitor Center.

The art show featuring works by University of New Mexico graduate Kunz will run until Dec. 17. The opening reception is 2-4 p.m. Saturday and will give the public a chance to meet Kunz and discuss her work.

Kunz has had shows both as a solo artist and and as part of group shows. The most prestigious was the New Mexico committee for the National Museum for Women in Art, Washington, D.C.

The event is free; for more information contact Christine Vasquez at cvasquez@cabq.gov.

VOLUNTEERS: The Open Space Visitor Center is looking for trail watch volunteers. A volunteer training class will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Anyone who enjoys the outdoors or is looking for a way to give back to the community is welcome to attend.
