There will be plenty of Christmas cheer in Ventana Ranch this weekend as two holiday parades come to the neighborhood Saturday.

First, the Ventana Ranch Neighborhood Association holds its annual Christmas parade from 3-4 p.m. The parade will begin at Ventana Ranch Elementary School with the two-mile parade route going counterclockwise on loop road- Las Ventana/Ventana Ranch.

An hour after that parade ends, the Volcano Vista High School football team will begin its third annual Light the Night Parade.

The VVHS parade begins at 5 p.m. at Ventana Ranch Park and will go through Ventana Ranch Loop until 6:30 p.m. The team is collecting donations of toiletries and lightly used clothing, which can be dropped off from 5-6 p.m. Friday at the gym entrance and at donation boxes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Boxes will be set up in Terrazas Park, Pinon Pointe Park and Ventana West Park.
