    High school athletes from La Cueva and Albuquerque Academy won multiple events at the two-day Richard Harper Invitational track meet, April 22-23. High winds on Friday resulted in hurdles events being postponed until Saturday when calmer weather prevailed. The following athletes won first place in the finals for the events noted. Times, distances and heights of the results are also listed, as posted on the MileSplit NM website.

    La Cueva boys first place finals
    Christian Buzzard, 100-meter dash: 10.80
    Dylan Lee, long jump: 23-00.00
    Dylan Lee, triple jump: 43-11.00

    ABQ Academy boys first place finals
    Joaquin Deprez, 800-meter run: 1:55.26

    La Cueva girls first place finals
    Analisa Ibarra, 100-meter hurdles: 16.25

    ABQ Academy girls first place finals
    Gigi Galles, long jump: 17-04.00
    Gigi Galles, triple jump: 37-01.00

    La Cueva’s Hunter Roswold took first place in the 400-meter dash prelims with a time of 51.37. La Cueva boys took second place in the 4X100 meter relay finals with a time of 42.39, first place in the prelims for the same race with a time of 41.91, and second place in the 4X200 meter relay finals with a time of 1:30.41. Analisa Ibarra took third place for La Cueva in the girls 300-meter hurdles with a time of 47.81. La Cueva also took third place in the girls 4X400 meter relay finals with a time of 4:17.45 and second place in the girls sprint medley relay finals with a time of 4:24.36. Victoria Marthaler of La Cueva took second place in the girls high jump with a result of 5-00.00 and Jessica Tran took second place in girls pole vault finals with a result of 9-00.00.

    For Albuquerque Academy, Kane Demers took third place in the boys long jump finals with a result of 22-05.00, Max Chandler came in second for the boys triple jump with a result of 42-08.25, and fellow teammate Kane Demers came in third in the boys triple jump finals with a result of 42-07.00. Albuquerque Academy’s Emerson Hickey came in second for the boys pole vault finals with a result of 12-00.00, Franklin Rambo in second in the boys javelin finals with a result of 154-03.00, and Isabella Romero won third in the girls 100 meter hurdles finals with a result of 17.35. Albuquerque Academy took third in the girls 4X100 meter relay prelims with a result of 50.77 and third in the girls sprint relay finals with a result of 4:25.60.
