Students packed the house to watch Eldorado High School drama students’ new twist on what was originally an English novel from Lewis Carroll in 1865.
Actors first came up and walked along the performance center stage waving and showing their costumes before exiting backstage.
“Alice in Wonderland,” directed by student Cole Raison, starts with the Cheshire Cat’s dialogue, performed by Phat Ngo, which narrates the beginning of the story and Alice’s introduction. She affectionately calls the cat “Chessie” throughout the play. Alice is played by Isabel Juarez, and 37 other students are featured in the play.
“Alice in Wonderland” tickets are $5, and performances will continue at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Performing Arts Center on campus.
The plays participants thanked Ms. Stell for providing costumes, the set stagecraft crew, and Keyleigh Isler, Marishka Jaeger and Connor Surran for providing stage lighting.
