The average price of unleaded gasoline in Albuquerque dropped a penny since last week, according to AAA data. A week ago, the average price of regular unleaded was $4.28. This week, the average is $4.27. The average price of midgrade, premium and diesel went down throughout the city as well. Former Eldorado High School student Devon Sandoval was back on the field for New Mexico United after sitting out the beginning of the 2022 season due to blood clots found in the artery of his heart. Sandoval’s future with the team was uncertain after the clots were found in October 2021, but Tuesday night’s game proved he is still in top shape and ready to score goals for the team. Madison Middle School is hosting an eighth-grade parade May 25 to recognize students moving on from the school. Family and friends are invited to the drive-thru celebration and are encouraged to decorate their vehicles. To participate, eighth-graders need to attend school May 25. While waiting for fourth quarter grades to be released, parents and guardians can register students for the Albuquerque Public Schools 2022-23 school year on ParentVUE. The online tool allows for registration of new or returning students with a just a few clicks of some buttons. ParentVUE provides the option of uploading required documents, such as immunization records and proof of residency. Early voting locations for the New Mexico 2022 primaries are open now through June 4 at most locations. Candidates include those running for state representatives in the House and Senate. The far Northeast Heights includes House Districts 15, 27 and 31 and Senate Districts 21 and 20. Of those races, only one is contested: Elisa Maria Martinez vs. Robert S. Godshall for the Republican spot in District 27.
