Children ages 18 and under can receive free meals at five different locations in the far Northeast Heights. The free meals are part of the Summer Food Service Program administered by the New Mexico Early Childhood Education & Care Department Family Nutrition Bureau to help address the gap in children’s nutritional needs. The most current data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows Bernalillo County as having a high COVID-19 community level. From June 7-14, the positivity rate in Bernalillo County decreased by .59% from the previous seven-day reporting period and the death rate decreased by 66.67% for June 9-16 compared to the previous seven days. The southbound right lane and bike lane will be closed on Ventura Street at its intersection with San Francisco Road until curbline milling and asphalt resurfacing is complete.
