The following incidents were reported by the Albuquerque Police Department for the week of July 22-28 in the far Northeast Heights area between Paseo del Norte Boulevard, Louisiana Boulevard, Eubank Boulevard and Academy Road. There were 40 incidents reported by APD on crimemapping.com for the week. The following 28 incidents do not include traffic stops, direct traffic, onsite traffic, or vehicle accidents without injuries. Incidents of interest include multiple commercial burglary reports in close proximity throughout the week. Julie Tambourine was standing on the sidewalk Wednesday afternoon just south of the Whole Foods on Wyoming and Academy with her two dogs, Blue and Shale (pronounced Shayla). Wearing her bright pink and red outfit with a sign asking for help above the two dogs made her stand out to those passing by. Gas prices continue to go down across the metro, and far Northeast Heights stations are keeping step with the decrease. According to AAA data, the July 27 average price of regular unleaded fuel in Albuquerque was $3.90 a gallon. Last week the average was $4.12, and a month ago it was $4.66 a gallon. New Mexico’s average price of fuel for July 27 was $4.10, and the national average $4.30 a gallon. A man was found dead in the bushes outside the Marriott Pyramid on Paseo Del Norte and Jefferson Tuesday, July 26. The city’s 311 monthly performance report shows May as having slightly more calls than June, but July 2021 as being the busiest month for 311, with about 80,000 interactions.
