On Wednesday, a video was captured of the mountain lion scaling fences around San Pedro and Paseo Del Norte. Firefighter and Eldorado alumni Benjamin J. Leverett passed away on April 20 and was laid to rest Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Park, which was reserved for family, while the service at Calvary Church was open to everyone who knew him. Albuquerque Fire Rescue said, “It is with profound sadness to announce the sudden and untimely death of AFR member Paramedic Lt. Benjamin Leverett. The early childhood education and care department has now set up meal sites throughout Albuquerque for children to utilize the summer food service program. This federally funded program serves children ages 1-18. Those with  a mental or physical disability over the age of 18 can also receive free meals, which is determined by the participating state or educational agencies. All meals are nutritionally balanced, and the program follows the USDA-established meal patterns and portion sizes.
