    Here’s our Monday rundown of everything you need to know for the week of Nov. 21-25.

    The weather: Albuquerque is expected to have sunny skies this week with temperatures in the low 50s. Wednesday could be a little cloudy with a high of 53. Thanksgiving Day is expected to be sunny with a high of 53, perfect for a little family football game in the yard.

    Here’s what is happening in Albuquerque this week

    • Santa’s Wonderland returns to Bass Pro Shops this week. Families are invited to experience the magic of the workshop at any local Bass Pro Shops or Cabela’s daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Dec. 24. Book your free picture with Santa here.
    • The 2022 FIFA World Cup kicked off Sunday with Ecuador beating host nation Qatar 2-0. The U.S. team begins play Monday against Wales at noon. The city of Albuquerque, New Mexico United, and the Albuquerque Convention Center are hosting World Cup watch parties on Civic Plaza. Matches will be screened throughout the World Cup, with watch parties kicking off on Monday and culminating in the World Cup Championship match on Dec. 18. New Mexico United is also hosting a watch party for the USMNT’s match against England on Friday at Sandia Resort & Casino beginning at 11:30 a.m.
    • The University of New Mexico LGBTQ+ Resource Center is hosting its annual Friendsgiving Dinner Wednesday at noon. The event is free and open to anyone. This event will have vegan and to-go options available.
    • Winter Wonderland opens for its Walking Tour on Thanksgiving Day weekend for an evening of holiday magic, professional lighting, Luminarias, Santa Claus photos, live actors, local holiday vendors, food , hot cocoa and more. The walking tour is open 6-10 p.m. Friday-Sunday from 6-10 p.m. and includes both Villa Hispana and Indian Village inside Expo NM.
    • Light of Enchantment is holding its tree-lighting event from 4-9 p.m. Friday at Sandia Speedway. The tree-lighting kicks off the season for one of New Mexico’s most popular drive-thru Christmas lights displays.
