National Coffee with a Cop Day will be celebrated across the country Wednesday, including in northwest Albuquerque.
Albuquerque Police Department officers from the Northwest Area Command will be at Donut Mart at 3301 Coors NW Wednesday from 9-11 a.m. to take part in casual conversations with the community.
The Coffee with a Cop program began in 2011 as a way to build trust and help foster a sense of community in the neighborhoods the police serve.
People in the neighborhood will have an opportunity to ask questions, raise concerns and chat with officers.
