Dion’s sister restaurant Tula’s Kitchen is slated to open soon. The restaurant, located in the La Cueva Town Center next to Dion’s, is still under construction but may still be open before the summer ends as was reported in April.
When asked if a grand opening date has been set, Dion’s Marketing Director Audrey Johnson responded, “We are getting closer and working towards an opening date.”
On Tuesday afternoon workers could be seen transforming the old IHOP building into a modern restaurant, adding details to the patio and indoor dining areas. The patio will seat 60 customers and the indoor dining area 130, according to a 2021 press release.
Tula’s website is advertising open kitchen and dining room staff positions for line cooks, servers, bartenders and more. “We have just begun the hiring process and have received many applications. We expect to continue the hiring process as we approach the restaurant opening,” Johnson said. Worker benefits include paid time off, medical, dental and vision insurance, and a 401K depending on the number of hours worked.
“Tula’s offers a modern take on a traditional job. The service model is hybrid, meaning it will match the quality of sit-down restaurants, and the convenience and speed of fast-casual,” Johnson said. “Like Dion’s, the environment will be flexible, friendly, fun, energetic, and team-driven.”
Once open, customers can order from a menu featuring roasted and crisp chicken, grilled sandwiches, fresh salads and alcoholic beverages. “Tula’s is a modern-casual restaurant featuring craveable classics in a comfortable environment. It’s the perfect place for family dinners, get-togethers among couples and friends, and business meetings,” Johnson said. “Menu items are familiar with a delicious and unexpected twist, and pair perfectly with signature cocktails, local beer and wine.”
