Paradise Hills Community Center is, according to bernco.gov, is Bernalillo County’s busiest community center.

It offers a number of amenities and programs to keep up with the demand.

PHCC has after-school dinner, served on a first-come, first-serve basis Monday through Friday during the school year. It costs $425 per child for the year or $135 for nine weeks.

For the adults, PHCC offers a number of programs.

There’s Zumba, ceramics and pickleball, which is also offered for seniors.

PHCC also has an adult basketball program on its indoor court.

As the weather heats up, people will be taking advantage of the pool at PHCC. There’s also a gymnasium,  tennis courts, a playground, a multi-purpose room and an arts and crafts room.

PHCC has a West Annex that is used as a senior meal site.

PHCC also has a little library out front from Girl Scout Troop 10264 that offers free book exchange.

PHCC could be getting even bigger in the future.

Major renovations have been proposed to PHCC, including the addition of roughly 14,000 square feet of new program space.

Proposed additions include a fitness center, locker rooms, meeting rooms and a large lobby with gaming space. The proposal also includes a new courtyard/plaza area.

The estimated cost of the project is $3.8 million.
