The New Mexico Ice Wolves lost to the Oklahoma Warriors 6-4 at the Outpost Ice Arena on Thursday.

The two teams meet again at the same venue at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9 at 6:30.

The Ice Wolves will then travel to Los Alamos to play the El Paso Rhinos Sunday, Dec. 11, as part of the three day Los Alamos Winter Classic hockey event. Games for the event will be played at the Los Alamos County outdoor ice rink and will feature pee-wee teams up to the high school varsity level and, of course, the North American Hockey League-sanctioned Ice Wolves game, which is scheduled for 2 p.m.

The New Mexico Ice Wolves are No. 12 in league standings — and third in the South Division — with 13 wins and eight losses so far this season. Oklahoma is second in the division and the Lone Star Brahmas first. The Brahmas are second in league standings, behind the Maryland Black Bears, an East Division team with 20 wins and six losses this season.
