Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a body found outside Discount Tires on Coors and Montano Sunday morning as a homicide.
According to a release from APD, Albuquerque Fire Rescue reported a person found dead outside the tire shop around 7:40 a.m. Sunday to police.
Police officials said it’s possible the person was murdered and homicide detectives have begun an investigation.
Tuesday, APD identified the person found dead as Maria Elena Rodriguez. The case is still is being investigated as a suspicious death. An autopsy did not reveal any signs of trauma.
