Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to a house fire in the neighborhood near Chamiza Elementary School early Friday morning.
Engine 18 and Rescue 18 were first on scene shortly after midnight Friday. Engine 18 extinguished the fire within five minutes of arrival. The house at 5825 Open Sky Drive NW had moderate water and smoke damage, and the residents were displaced.
AFR reported there were no injuries to pets, civilians or firefighters and ruled the fire was accidental.
