Josh Earp is working to help heal his Ventana Ranch neighbors.

Earp, a masseuse with nearly 14 years of experience, recently opened Indigo Healing Massage.

Indigo Healing Massage, located on the second floor of Demi’s Salon Boutiques at 10124 Coors NW, opened on April 2. Since then, Earp has been offering a variety of services for his clients.

It’s based around massage obviously, and then you can kind of make it your own massage,” Earp said. “We offer different things like hot stone, hot towels, aromatherapy. We have a hypervolt machine, which is basically a percussion gun. That is great for loosening up tight muscles and getting the blood flowing.”

Josh Earp is the owner of Indigo Healing Massage.

Earp, who has lived in Ventana Ranch for three years, also works at Massage Envy. But he hopes opening Indigo Healing Massage is the first step toward running his own operation and being his own boss.

“I’ve been doing massage for almost 14 years,” Earp said. “I’m mostly working for Massage Envy. During that time, I’ve done a little dabbling here and there with having my own place, but this is kind of like, I’m full on with working here. I’m eventually going to put in more time here. Right now I’m just Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, so I gotta get some more days going in here.”

While Indigo Healing Massage opened in April, Earp and his wife, Jennifer, who handles the social media for the business, have been working since March to get it up and running.

Me and my wife had been working pretty hard on it,” Earp said. “There’s a lot that goes into starting the business. So that’s why it was good that we had, like, kind of a month buffer to kind of get the business licensing going, you know? Get everything together that I need in my actual room, which is a lot of stuff that I needed to get. I didn’t have any of it from the start. So over the course of the month, we’ve been getting stuff here and there, and now we’re pretty much full on at this point.”

With all equipment available and the business off to a successful start, all that’s left is for Earp to help ease pain and help heal his clients.

I’ve been doing this for quite a long time; I know what I’m doing,” Earp said. “I’ve seen a lot of different ailments, people have a lot of stress. I am a firm believer of the mind-body connection. If you have this enormous amount of stress, it’s going to cause other issues with your body, your physical body, so if you can get a moment to relax even if it’s just for a small amount of time,  you don’t have to have this massive amount of stress weighing on you all the time on your shoulders. I just want people to know we’re here, obviously. And, yeah, come in and give me a try. I’ve been doing it for a while. It’s cool, man.”
