There were 78 Albuquerque Community Safety calls for service in June for City Council District 4, represented by Brook Bassan. District 4 includes areas north of Montgomery Boulevard, east of the railroad tracks, and west of Ventura Street.
The ACS June informational report shows District 2 as having the highest number of calls for service in June, with 347 calls. District 2 is represented by council president Isaac Benton and includes downtown, Old Town, parts of the University of New Mexico and the North Valley east of the river.
A map showing the location of calls for service in June indicates there were a high concentration of calls along the Central Avenue corridor, the downtown area, and along Interstate 40. Calls for service in District 4 were scattered throughout the Northeast Heights area, with some clusters along the District 4 and District 7 boundaries.
District 7 is represented by Tammy Fiebelkorn and borders District 4 to the north along Montgomery Boulevard. There were 280 ACS calls for service in June for District 7. The total number of ACS calls for service in June by district is listed on the right side of the map shown below.
The number one call for service in the city was for an unsheltered individual at 585 calls in June. In April there were 746 calls for unsheltered individuals and 611 calls in May. The second most calls for service were for welfare checks, with 483 calls in June. For the same month there were 139 calls for wellness checks, 125 for behavioral health issues, 42 for suicide, 24 for suspicious subject, 23 for panhandler, 16 for disturbancs, 0 for needle pickup, 0 for abandoned vehicles, and 0 for message for delivery.
