The Albuquerque Area Holiday Lights Tour Facebook group is the place to find the best luminarias, Christmas lights, decorations and even Santa Claus appearances and free gifts.

The private group has more than 29,000 members who share information, videos and photos of holiday lights in the Albuquerque area. Administrators for the group — Jared Trujillo, Melissa Rex and Chantel LeAnn Trujillo — helped put a map together with 280 holiday display locations, seven Christmas Eve luminaria locations, musical light shows, great neighborhoods to see and two different holiday light routes.

Jared’s NE to SE Tour Route includes 10 stops beginning at 8508 Waterford Place NE and ending at 1524 Bush Court SE. Administrators attempt to update the map with new locations while also removing locations where holiday lights are no longer displayed from previous years. Many of the Northeast Heights locations found on the map were lit up on Thursday, as seen in the Instagram reel below.

Use the map to find great neighborhoods and luminarias

Discussion on the Facebook group includes photos, videos and information about special displays like the Transformers cars found on the west side. A post by Nate Bywater says the Bumblebee car will be on display until Christmas Eve. The display can be found at 10431 Venticello Drive NW.

The holiday light tour map, found below, also lists locations of great neighborhoods with holiday lights. Some of the neighborhoods listed in the Northeast Heights include Chelwood Park, Eubank and Menaul, Eubank and Comanche, Nor Este and Quintessence neighborhoods.

Christmas Eve luminaria locations listed on the map include Lee Acres, Diets Farm, Los Poblanos, Old Town, Albuquerque Country Club, Dellwood Road and 2525 Tingley Drive SW. Use the map below to plan your own holiday light tour.
