Join the new Community Urban Homestead Group!
Saturday, January 14, 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

The Urban Homesteading group will meet monthly to exchange ideas, share progress on projects and to learn from experts in the community about self-sufficiency and living more sustainably. Join  the introductory session to learn about the possibilities of urban and backyard homesteading. Registration required.

Craft Supply Exchange 
Saturday, January 21, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Bring excess craft supplies like ribbon, yarn, beads and paper to swap or donate. No registration required.

Polymer Clay Art with Little Burque for Tweens and Teens 
Tuesday, January 31, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

Make polymer clay art with the local youth entrepreneur program, Little Burque (Grey Collective). For ages 9-18. Registration required and limited to 12.

Backyard Chicken Keeping 
Saturday, January 28, 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.

Join Urban 4-H Agent Brittany Sonntag to find out how to keep backyard chickens. Brittany will discuss a variety of possible chicken breeds to choose from, and will teach how to predator-proof a chicken coop. She will also provide a hands-on demonstration with her own chicken on how to safely clip wings to prevent chickens from flying the coop. Registration required.
