    EHS sports recap Sept. 12

    Here is a recap of games for Eldorado High School sports teams for the first full week of September, according to the Albuquerque Public Schools athletics schedule and Maxpreps.

    Football

    The varsity football team lost to the Piedra Vista Fathers in Farmington on Thursday, Sept. 8, with a score of 46-7. The team is 0-4 on the season. 

    The JV football team lost to the V Sue Cleveland Storm 34-19 on Tuesday, Sept.6. Their overall record is 2-1. 

    The freshman team also lost to the V Sue Cleveland Storm team on Wednesday, Sept. 7, by a score of 62-7. The team is 1-2. 

    Volleyball

    The varsity volleyball team had a busy week with four matches, splitting with two wins and two losses. The team won against Highland Hornets 2-0, lost to Cibola Cougars 3-1, and the Volcano Vista Hawks 3-0 in Saturday’s tournament. The team came back full swing when they won against the Valley Vikings 3-0 in the same tournament on Saturday Sept. 10. Overall, the team holds a 4-2 record. 

    For correction, the girls freshman team won against the Manzano Monarchs 2-0 on Aug. 30 and lost to the Cibola Cougars on Sept.1, with a final score of 2-0. 

    Soccer

    The varsity boys soccer team lost to the Volcano Vista Hawks Thursday, Sept. 8, with a final score of 3-2. The team’s record currently sits at 2-2-3. 

    The JV boys team had two games last week against Volcano Vista and Cibola, but scores have yet to be reported on Maxpreps. 

    The varsity girls won again against the Volcano Vista Hawks with a 2-1 final score on Thursday, Sept. 8. The team is  6-0-1 on the season so far. 

    The JV girls team lost against the Volcano Vista Hawks on Sept. 8 with a final score of 3-2, and it was their first game of the season.
