Summer practices kick off this week for Volcano Vista football. With the start of the new season, fundraising also comes along.
The Cornivore popcorn fundraiser began Monday and continues through July 22. On Wednesday, the team will be holding the Chipotle dinner fundraiser with the annual barbecue kickoff set for Aug. 6. At the kickoff, player fees and sponsorships are due. Raffle fees are due Aug. 13.
The practice schedule for varsity and JV runs 6:20-8:45 a.m. Monday through Friday from July 11-27. Two-a-days run Aug. 1-5, with practices running from 6:20-8:45 a.m. and 5:30-7 p.m. Practice for the C team runs 4-6 p.m. Monday through Friday July 11-27.
Summer “7 on 7” also gets underway this week, with a session at Volcano Vista Monday, July 11; Monday, July 18; and Wednesday, July 20. A session will be at Cleveland High School Wednesday, July 13; and one at Eldorado High School Monday, July 25. JV/C team will be at 4 p.m. with varsity following at 5:30 p.m.
