The 10-U Volcano Vista team from the Young America Football League are collecting donations Saturday to benefit Joy Junction, the largest emergency homeless family shelter in New Mexico.
The donation drive is at Taylor Ranch Library from 2:30-5 p.m. The Hawks players decided to give back to the less fortunate and are asking their friends, family and neighbors to donate what they can.
The items most requested are:
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste
- Soap
- Combs and brushes
- Travel size shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and deodorant
- Lip balm
- Sunscreen
- Gently used clothes, shoes, hats and toys
- Dry goods
- Dairy
- Drinks
- Snacks
