The Hawks cruised to a 33-7 win over Sandia Friday night. Quarterback Elliot Paskett-Bell did most of his damage on the ground, rushing for 109 yards and two touchdowns. Christian Rey, Jace Anderson and Alex Romero each added a rushing touchdown for the Hawks, who improved their record to 4-1.
Soccer
The VVHS boys (7-1-1) had the weekend off but return to action at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Los Alamos. The girls team beat Albuquerque High 3-0 on Thursday to improve to 6-4.
Volleyball
The Hawks beat Los Alamos in straight sets Thursday and rallied from a 2-0 deficit to beat Los Lunas 3-2 on Saturday to improve their record to 6-3. VVHS hosts Eldorado at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
