Volcano Vista High School students had three films accepted into Film Prize NM, a film festival which showcases student filmmakers throughout the state.

Volcano Vista is the only Albuquerque Public Schools institution to reach the juried state competition.

The three films are “Dismembered” by Ben Piñon; “Final Goodbye” by Diego Chavez and Lady Martinez; and “Love at Second Sight” by Maddie Barela.

The festival is Saturday and Sunday in Española.
