In an effort to make trick-or-treating safer for kids, Nextdoor is offering a map made for parents to use for the Halloween holiday.

The Nextdoor Treat Map is an interactive local guide where people can let their neighbors know how they plan to celebrate Halloween, and adding a home to the Treat Map will also generate a post to a person’s newsfeed.

Neighbors as well as surrounding areas will see people’s homes as a location to stop for treats and gives parents specific locations as safe spots to take the kids for candy.

The interactive local Halloween guide for neighbors allows people to share how they will be celebrating Halloween, whether it’s decorating one’s home or taking part in the neighborhood trick-or-treating by giving out candy. In addition, a unique pet-friendly pin will be available to neighbors in the U.S., enabling pet owners or pet-welcoming neighbors to include their furry friends in the trick-or-treating fun.
