The Enchantment, a team of University of New Mexico alumni playing in The Basketball Tournament, announced the first annual “The Enchantment Golf Tourney” Wednesday.
The Basketball Tournament is an open-application, single-elimination basketball tournament that began in 2014. This year’s TBT features 64 teams with a $1 million winner-take-all prize and will be broadcast by ESPN.
The Enchantment Golf Tourney is on July 15 with an 8 a.m. shotgun start at Paradise Hills Golf Course.
Enchantment players JR Giddens, Anthony Mathis, Phil McDonald, Dairese Gary, Darington Hobson, Roman Martinez and Kenny Thomas will play in the golf tournament.
There will be prizes for first through third place, closest to the pin and longest drives. The cost is $650 per team or $165 for an individual with lunch provided for all players. To sign up, call Brandon Mason at 505-288-6376.
