After opening a location in Rio Rancho late last year, Stripes Burrito Co. is expanding again.
A new restaurant is planned to open in the fall on McMahon and Unser. This location would be the sixth in New Mexico for the popular chain, which serves up breakfast and lunch burritos.
The Rio Rancho location, on Southern, has seen long lines that affect traffic, showing there’s plenty of demand in the area.
Stripes, which donates 10 percent of each sale to the VA Hospital, has raised more than $100,000 so far and recently pledged to donate another $100,000 to the VA in July.
Stripes has been named Best Breakfast Burrito in the city two straight years.
