Albuquerque Public Schools’ initiative “Story Time in the Park” will run from June 6 to July 14 this summer, running from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday  in several Albuquerque locations, including Paradise Hills Community Center.

The “Story Time in the Park” was created to help kids get books when out of school to prevent summer learning loss. The program has certified teachers hosting read-aloud sessions for children and families at 26 sites in Albuquerque.

Families will receive a copy of the book that was read after each session and also take home an activity sheet/lesson plan of strategies and support for reading at home.
