The ongoing construction in Ventana Ranch will cause more road closures this week.

Northbound Universe, which has been closed since mid-September as crews install a 20-inch raw water pipeline, re-opened Monday. Crews also closed southbound Universe from McMahon to Irving Monday. The road will be totally closed for about five weeks with one lane of traffic open in each direction on the north side of the street.

Crews will also have to close westbound Irving from Mullhacen Place to Cantacielo Drive beginning Monday until about Dec. 23.

Traffic in this area will shift to the south, with one lane open in each direction.

Access to Cantacielo Drive will remain open except for a brief period of time when the pipeline
will be laid across these intersections. When the pipeline is laid across the intersections, half of the
intersection will remain open, then will close when the pipeline is laid across the first half of the
intersection. A flagger will be on hand to direct traffic during this crossing.
