NJ took the question of where the best spots to hike, bike and walk in the city to the Facebook Hiking NM group, which has more than 20,000 members. Here is what they had to say.

‘Trekkin’ with Chuck” said, “I did La Luz last year and absolutely loved it. It was one hell of a challenge for a G.A. boy who has never been higher than 6k ft before that day.”

Chuck’s page is packed full of videos and photos of hiking spots throughout the country. To take a gander at his adventures, click here.

Olguin M. said, “Bosque by Tingley area.”

Victor S. said, “I go here all the time (Petroglyph National Monument). Only because it’s closer to me than any where else but I like it. It’s peaceful.”

Donna T. said, “For an easy relaxing day, Domingo Baca. The first two miles or so, with a snack break in the creek bed.”

Jonny N. said, “Pino trail and Doc Long.”

Gloria S. said, “La Luz, Pino Trail, Embudito and Domingo Baca oh and Bear Canyon.”

Jennifer B. said, “La Luz. And Ellis to the Crest or 10K to Ellis to the Crest and back down Survey. Volcanoes Day Use Area (so many good trails out there!).”
