Driving around, more and more one can see that Little Free Libraries have been popping up throughout many Albuquerque neighborhoods, but especially since the pandemic, when residents had time to work on such projects.
The global book-sharing movement aims to increase reading access by allowing residents to peruse, take or leave books at exchange locations.
The Little Free Libraries site has a map showing all of the spots with registered locations and has an app where you can pinpoint locations close to you.
The libraries are made from all sorts of different materials, mostly with recycled/reused items, and each have their own little personalities, as well as stories about and within.
