The average price for a gallon of gasoline in Albuquerque jumped to $4.85 from $4.53 last week, according to GasBuddy.

That escalation in gas prices hit also hit northwest Albuquerque.

Sam’s Club and Costco, which each require a membership, were the only two places in the neighborhood with prices below the city average as both were at $4.44 per gallon.

Chevron on Alameda again had the highest price at $4.99 with the Chevron on Paradise at $4.93.

Murphy Express on Alameda had the lowest price Wednesday at $4.86.

There were a handful of stations that were at $4.89, including both of the Speedway locations on Golf Course and Alameda; the Smith’s on McMahon and the location on Golf Course; the Valero on Paradise and the Circle K on Unser.
