The average price for a gallon of gasoline in Albuquerque dropped slightly this week, going down to $3.62 from $3.64 last week.

The bad news for motorists in northwest Albuquerque was that only a handful of stations had prices below the citywide average on Wednesday.

Costco and Sam’s Club, which both require a membership, were each at $3.18.

The lowest price open to the public $3.49 at the Murphy Express on Alameda. The Smith’s on McMahon ($3.61) and the Speedway on Alameda ($3.64) also were below average.

The Chevron on Alameda had the highest price in the neighborhood at $3.99. The Chevron on Paradise was at $3.79, as was the Smith’s on Golf Course. The Speedway on Golf Course was at $3.76.

The Valero on Paradise was at $3.69 as was the Circle K on Unser.
