Author and award-winning kid rocker Mr. Stinky Feet is doing an Albuquerque library tour, performing at the Juan Tabo location Wednesday, June 15.

Mr. Stinky Feet, a.k.a. Jim Cosgrove, has been a child entertainer for more than 20 years and has performed more than 4,500 shows and eight albums.

With an M.A. in English from University of New Mexico, he has also written three children’s books in addition to two adult books.

These high-energy and interactive shows give kids a show tailored to them, and when not performing solo, he also has a band called The Hiccups.

Cosgrove says he engages students through music and stories to help reinforce principles of respect for themselves and others during his interactive character education presentations, which include sing-a-longs, dancing and jamming with Mr. Stinky Feet.

“My philosophy is that the kids are the stars of the show, not me,” he said.

The concert will be from 2-3 p.m. in the Juan Tabo meeting room.
