Rio Rancho’s Governing Board approved site plans last week for a new grocery store and a new food court in the area around the Presbyterian Rust Medical Center.

The food court, Margarita Hill, will be developed by Roy Solomon, who also developed Green Jeans and Tin Can Alley. The Albertson’s Market Street, which will be the second location in New Mexico, will feature natural and organic foods, a floral department and  concierge event planning.

The 11-acre site will be located at 2200 Westside Blvd. and will also include a gas station.

Margarita Hill will have eight tenants offering a variety of foods.

Construction is expected to begin later this year and be completed in mid-2023.
