When school resumes for the 2022-23 school year next month, Lyndon B. Johnson Middle School will have a new leader.

Paula Nunez was named the new principal in May, and she begins her duties in the role this month. She previously served as the assistant principal of curriculum at Volcano Vista High School. Nunez has also worked as a middle school instructional coach, a district math coach, a middle school math teacher and a kindergarten teacher.

The first day back for teachers and staff is Aug. 3, while students’ first day is Aug. 10.
