Gas prices continue to fall across the metro and the country, with the national average at $3.85 as of Wednesday afternoon. Georgia has some of the cheapest gas at $3.25 a gallon and California the most expensive at $5.94. New Mexico was averaging just below $3.73 a gallon, according to AAA data.

In Albuquerque, the average price of regular unleaded fell by 14 cents since last week, now at $3.66 a gallon. Here’s a look at prices from select stations around the far Northeast Heights:

  • The Smith’s Fuel Center at 7521 Holly Ave. was $3.62 a gallon for regular unleaded Wednesday morning. Mid-grade was $3.97, premium $4.32 and diesel $4.82 a gallon.
  • The 7-Eleven/ALON station at 7843 Tramway Blvd. was charging $3.70 a gallon for regular unleaded, six cents less than last week. The station was charging $4 for mid-grade, $4.50 for premium, and $4.80 for a gallon of diesel, also down since last week.
  • The price of regular unleaded at the Circle K/Phillips 66 at 6951 San Antonio Drive dropped seven cents since last week, now at $3.68 a gallon. Mid-grade was $4.18, premium $4.48, and diesel $4.80 a gallon.
  • A gallon of regular unleaded at the Circle K/Phillips 66 gas station at 5501 Alameda Blvd. dropped from $3.80 to $3.65 a gallon since last week. Mid-grade decreased from $4.30 to $4.15, and premium decreased 15 cents to $4.45 a gallon. Diesel stayed the same at $4.96 a gallon.
  • The Chevron at 5980 Alameda Blvd. was charging $3.90 for a gallon of regular, the same as last week. Mid-grade also stayed the same at $4.36 a gallon, as did premium, still at $4.77 a gallon. Prices for mid-grade and premium were over 24 hours old, according to Google Maps.
