The average price of regular unleaded gasoline in Albuquerque increased from last week, according to AAA data. A week ago, the average price of regular unleaded was $4.27 a gallon; this week the average is $4.43. Prices at most gas stations in the far Northeast Heights also increased, mimicking the average changes throughout the city and the country.

• The Smith’s Fuel Center at 7525 Wyoming Blvd. NE was charging $4.59 for a gallon of regular unleaded, $4.94 for mid-grade, and $5.29 for a gallon of premium fuel around 11 a.m. June 1.
• The price of regular unleaded at the Phillips 66 at 5301 Wyoming Blvd. went up from last week’s $4.17 to $4.60 a gallon on June 1. Mid-grade jumped from $4.62 to $5.50, premium went from $4.92 to $5.35, and diesel stayed the same at $5.47 a gallon.
• Prices at the Circle K/Shell gas station at 8101 Harper Drive also increased since last week, with regular unleaded going from $4.28 to $4.60, mid-grade from $4.73 to $5.05, and premium went from $5.03 to $5.35 a gallon. Diesel dropped seven cents to $5.40 a gallon from last week’s $5.47.
• A gallon of regular unleaded at the Circle K/Phillips 66 gas station at 5501 Alameda Blvd. remained at $4.50. Mid-grade also stayed the same since last week at $4.95 a gallon, and premium increased from $5.25 to $5.35 a gallon. A gallon of diesel fuel cost $5.60 a gallon, the same as last week.
• The Chevron at 5980 Alameda Blvd. is charging $4.50 for a gallon of regular, the same as last week. Mid-grade jumped 10 cents from $4.86 to $4.96, as did premium, which went from $5.27 to $5.37 a gallon. Prices for premium and mid-grade were more than 24 hours old, according to Google Maps.

The average price for regular unleaded in Albuquerque is only a penny less than the state’s average of $4.42 a gallon. AAA data shows Catron County as having the highest average price of gasoline in the state at $4.84 a gallon, up from last week’s $4.78 a gallon. Nationwide, the average cost of regular unleaded also increased, coming in at $4.67 a gallon, up eight cents from last week’s $4.59 a gallon. The average price of fuel in California remained the most expensive in the country at $6.19 a gallon, an increase of 13 cents since last week’s average of $6.06 a gallon, according to AAA data.
