On Saturday, March 5, the Eldorado Golden Eagles varsity basketball team lost the away game in the first round of the NMAA Basketball State Championship to the Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars.

The final score was 62-58 in the neutral playoff game.

Overall, the Eldorado boys team is ranked No. 20 in New Mexico, and No. 13 in New Mexico Division 5A.

The Golden Eagles have won eight home games and lost three away games.

The school’s girls basketball team also lost to the Farmington High School Scorpions 53-35. Overall, the girls team is ranked No. 29 in the state and No. 15 in the NM Division 5A.
