Eldorado High School was recognized this week by U.S. News, rating at 4,161 nationally, while 22nd in New Mexico; it placed eighth within Albuquerque Public Schools.

Schools throughout the country are graded for state-required testing, graduation rates and how well students are prepared for college. RTI International, a global nonprofit social science research firm, reviewed nearly 24,000 public high schools; 157 schools were rated in New Mexico.

There are six indicators schools are ranked for such as statewide math, science and reading test scores, as well as Advanced Placement percentage, where Eldorado has a 35% participation.

Eldorado had a 76.68 percentage score out of 100.

Eldorado has a graduation rate at 85% and 22.1% for college readiness.
