A shelter-in-place was made Wednesday at Del Norte High School after a student was heard and seen shooting a gun from a motor vehicle. Albuquerque Police arrested 17-year-old Erbielo Cervantes for the incident Wednesday evening. The Del Norte student is being charged with unlawful carry of a deadly weapon on campus, shooting from a motor vehicle and two counts of conspiracy. 

No one was hurt during the incident that took place around noon as nearby students reported shots being fired from the the parking lot area near the south lot entrance on Montgomery, where bullet casings were also found. 

Albuquerque Public Schools representative Monica Armenta said police are still looking for more information about other individuals who may have been involved. APD said APS Police are leading the investigation.
