The CNM Dual Credit program helps high school students get a head start on their college educations. The program offers college level courses to start working on a degree or certification. An informational session on the program is set for 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Although fitness courses are not a part of the program, Eldorado students can take any 1000 level course or higher to earn college credit. Students must be enrolled at least half-time as a high school student, but they can start taking dual-credit courses as early as their freshman year.

According to the CNM website, all textbook costs are provided by the high school. All tuition and registration fees are are also waived as part of the program, although students are responsible for course fees. Those can range from $50-$150, depending on the course.

Eldorado students can register to attend the online-only event at https://cnm-edu.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_0-iXcAziQSm8hJDlgJkZDw.

To register for underage admission, check out https://www.cnm.edu/depts/outreach/dual-credit/high-school-and-dual-credit-programs.

CNM also provides a 10-step checklist to becoming a dua-credit student 068-19-dual-credit-step-cards.
