The Southwest Chocolate and Coffee Festival features more than 100 of the best of the best coffee and chocolate vendors throughout the state.
This convention brings not only the finest chocolates and coffees, but also cheeses, baked goods, candies, sauces and beer and wine. It starts at 10 a.m. April 2-3 at Expo New Mexico Fairgrounds.
There will also be classes and competitions, such as the Latte Art Throwdown, where baristas from all over come to compete in four art shape categories for the top prize of $700 and bragging rights.
There is a top chocolate baking challenge, painting courses, bend and brew yoga, as well as a block party with live music.
Admission for children age 3-12 is $2, while those 3 and under get in free. General admission is $15 for one day. All vendors offer samples of their products in addition to stocking products for sale.
Blue River Production says they’re honoring any unused tickets from 2020.
Northeast Heights vendors to watch out for are Theobroma Chocolatier, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Chocolate Cartel and Rebel Donuts, to name a few.
