Following an undercover drug operation, Albuquerque Police Department has arrested Juan Ramon Luevano.

According to an APD release, Luevano was arrested Tuesday after DEA and other drug task force officers set up a drug buy in northeast Albuquerque. Several undercover purchases were made on separate occasions, and approximately 7,000 fentanyl pills were seized.

Luevano, who owns Chenelle’s Beauty Supply, was under investigation from the Central Narcotics Unit with assistance from the DEA. A warrant was issued on Luevano’s home, which is approximately 300 yards from La Cueva High School, with cash, guns and drugs being seized.

The results of the buy and bust search warrant yielded the following:

  • A loaded AR-15 rifle (found in vehicle)
  • 3,000 additional fentanyl pills
  • Drug trafficking paraphernalia
  • $20,000 cash
  • 10 pounds of marijuana
  • Heroin
  • 9mm handgun parts
