This bear was spotted near Irving and Unser yesterday.

Hide your picnic baskets. A bear was spotted roaming the neighborhood Monday.

Multiple neighbors in northwest Albuquerque reported on social media of having spotted a young black bear in their neighborhoods. A larger bear was spotted near Smith’s on Golf Course.

Clarissa Clark posted a picture from a Ring camera showing the baby bear off of Golf Course and Paseo del Norte. She said Game and Fish confirmed the bear was captured for relocation. The baby bear was also spotted crossing Irving just below Unser.

Police shut down the roads around Calle Nortena where the big bear was also spotted. The big bear was also captured and relocated.

If neighbors see a bear, they are asked to call New Mexico Game and Fish at 505-476-8000 or 888-248-6866.
