The Jewish Community Center is hosting a Sunday morning jam with with Bagels and Jazz featuring vocalist Tracey Whitney and keyboardist John Funkhouser.

A former “Raelette” with the legendary Ray Charles, Los Angeles native Tracey Whitney began performing with The Whitney Family at age 11. After touring with Brother Ray, she spent five years singing solo in Japan before returning to her roots in Los Angeles. She moved to Albuquerque in 2012, and since then has been thrilling audiences throughout the city with her unique brand of classic jazz and sophisticated soul.

John Funkhouser a native of the Boston, Massachusetts,  studied classical piano from the age of 7  and performs on a wide array of instruments. Music genres include all types of jazz, funk, rock, hip-hop, Indian classical music, reggae and other world music, as well as  Western classical.

The event is free with suggested donation of $5 from 10:30 a.m. to noon Sunday. 

Freshly made bagels and coffee will be for sale at the Rhubarb and Elliot Cafe.
