Yes, there are still a few orange cones and flashing lights, but the residents of Venta Ranch are finally seeing the end of the walkway resurfacing project that has disrupted this normally pedestrian-friendly community. The new walkways, glistening black and unmarred by cracks and blemishes, encircle the neighborhood of Ventana Ranch and even cut through several of the internal neighborhoods.
Residents of the neighborhood may still find closed streets and blocked pathways, but in most cases, it is due to other projects like water line repair and street repaving.
“Asphalt repair on the Ventana Ranch walking paths is almost complete … Avoid using the paths during and right after the seal coat application. This is the walking paths, not the water line project that is causing all the trouble on Rainbow,” said the Ventana Ranch Neighborhood Association in a July 5 Facebook post.
The project, which was approved in the 55th Legislature, 2nd Session earlier this year, was approved and appropriated $1,000,000.
