ABQ Comic Con
Albuquerque’s Comic Con is coming to the convention center from January 13th- January 15th. There’s a long list of featured and media guests, voice actors, and publishers. See the full list here. Cosplayers are welcome with multiple competitions available around the center. Tickets are available at a discount when purchased in advance vs. at the door. Friday $20/$25 at the door, Saturday $35/$40 at the door, Sunday $25/$30 at the door. Children (9-13) are $5, children 8 and under are free. As always, Friday will have a soft opening at 3 PM to support children with Autism. Entry is free for the child and one adult with them.

Chilly Willy-Albuquerque
Just because it’s winter does not mean one should stop moving. In fact, this exciting race is guaranteed to get your blood pumping. Starting/Finishing at the trails in ABQ and Mariposa Basin Park. All races start at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 14th. There will be finisher medals for all half marathon participants; 5K and 10K may purchase one during registration. Hurry, there are only 200 finisher medals available. Each registered participant will also receive a long-sleeved Chilly Willy t-shirt. Event presented by Five Star NTP.

Los Ranchos Art Market
Welcome to the first art market of 2023, located at Hartnett Park. Come out Saturday, January 14th from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Experience this fun community event while supporting locally made art. There’s a playground for the kids and wide open spaces. Bring your furry friend, they will love it too.

Toughest Monster Truck Tour
Happening on January 13th and January 14th at the Rio Rancho Event Center! Fans who love the monster dump truck Dirt Crew will really love the new bulldozer-themed monster truck, aptly named DOZER, which will be making its debut at this event. Freestyle Motocross will also be featured. Tickets start at $35 each.

These grammy award winners have been performing for over six decades. A dazzling performance awaits at The Showroom (located in the Isleta Resort and Casino) on January 13th at 8 p.m. Tickets are $45-$55. Doors open at 7 p.m. guests must be 21+.

SW Model Railroad Fundraiser Sale
The Southwest Model Railroad Museum is having an excess inventory liquidation sale this weekend. Saturday, January 14th from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday, January 15th from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. All sales benefit the museum. Inventory includes HO buildings, rolling stock, bridges, track, brass track, switches, accessories, Lionel O-scale buildings, K-Line, and American Flier O-Scale.
